Shaolin Six Conformities Fist (Shaolin Liuhe Quan) originated around the end of Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368 AD) and early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD) was said to be created by a kitchen fire tendering monk, Xu Naluo according to the various movements of Shaolin monks' daily combat practices. This routine is characterised with strict and tight structure, orderly advance and retreat movements, comprehensive attack and defense works, vivid shapes, strong combatibility, and is therefore very popular among Shaolin monks. Since it is a routine for face to face practice and is thus the fundamental training for arena fight. This is also one of the most important routines that Shaolin masters have used to teach their students over the decades.
